TinyCog<ref>TinyCog home page</ref> is a project that aims to build an open source implementation of a cognitive architecture based on the ideas of Scene Based Reasoning (SBR). SBR can be summarized as "Everything is a Plan", explaining intelligent behavior using a set of high-level operations on "plans" and the underlying "scene" model of the inner and outer world. Plans are similar to planner tasks such as in Hierarchical task networks. Scenes can be considered similar to scene graphs from computer gaming. TinyCog is released under the terms of the GPL (GPLv3).

Components

  • Perception (computer vision, 3D reconstruction, deep learning, spatial relationships)
  • Execution (robotics, control theory, collision detection and avoidance)
  • Planning (classical planners, spatial planning, physics simulation, psychological and sociological models, multi-agent systems)
  • Learning (machine learning, data mining, decision trees)
  • Language (speech recognition, Natural Language Processing, hidden Markov models, syntactical models, language generation)
  • Reasoning (semantic networks, Description Logic)
